After creating a service plan, you may need to update resource limits or permissions. This guide covers modifying plans and understanding how changes affect existing subscriptions.

Modifying a Service Plan

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Go to Service PlansHosting Plans.
  3. Click the plan name you want to modify.
  4. Make changes to any settings.
  5. Click OK or Update & Sync.

How Plan Changes Affect Subscriptions

  • Synced subscriptions: Automatically receive all plan changes.
  • Locked subscriptions: Do NOT receive plan changes. These were customized individually.
  • Out of sync subscriptions: Need manual syncing.

Important Notes

  • Reducing resources will not delete existing customer data — it only prevents new data from being added.
  • Removing permissions takes effect immediately for synced subscriptions.

Troubleshooting

"Sync failed" error:

  • The plan includes resources not available to your reseller account. Contact your hosting provider.
