When a customer wants to upgrade or downgrade, you can change their service plan. This guide covers switching plans on a subscription.

Changing a Customer Plan

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Go to Subscriptions.
  3. Select the subscription.
  4. Click Change Plan.
  5. Select the new plan.
  6. Click OK.

The subscription updates immediately. If the new plan has fewer resources, existing data is not deleted — the customer simply cannot add more.

Important Notes

  • If the subscription is locked, unlock or sync it first.
  • Consider the impact of downgrading on the customer current usage.

Troubleshooting

"Subscription is locked" error:

  • Click Sync on the subscription, then retry the plan change.
