Finding customers who consume the most resources helps you prevent abuse, plan capacity upgrades, and enforce fair usage policies. This guide covers identifying heavy users of disk space, traffic, and other resources.
Finding Heavy Users
- Log in to Plesk.
- Go to Customers.
- Sort the list by clicking the Disk Usage or Traffic column header. Customers using the most resources will appear at the top.
Common Heavy Resource Indicators
- High disk usage: Large websites, old backups, full mailboxes, or database-heavy applications.
- High traffic: Popular websites, streaming media, or file download sites.
- High database usage: Large WordPress sites, forums, or e-commerce stores.
Actions for Heavy Users
- Notify the customer and suggest upgrading their plan.
- Help them clean up old backups, empty mailboxes, or optimize databases.
- If the customer is on a base plan, suggest an add-on for additional resources.
