You can access your Allanux Web email account directly on your mobile phone using the built-in mail app or Gmail. This guide walks you through the setup process for both Android and iOS devices.

Step 1: Find Your Email Settings

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Go to Email → Email Accounts.
  3. Click Connect Devices next to your email address.
  4. Click Set Up Mail Client to view your server settings.
  5. Make a note of the following:
    • IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (port 993, SSL)
    • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (port 465, SSL)
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email account password

Step 2: Set Up on Android (Gmail App)

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android phone.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Select Other (or Personal (IMAP/POP)).
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.
  6. Enter your password and tap Next.
  7. For incoming server settings:
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
    • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Port: 993
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
  8. For outgoing server settings:
    • SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Port: 465
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
    • Require sign-in: Yes
  9. Tap Next and give the account a name.

Step 3: Set Up on iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account.
  2. Tap Other, then Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your Name, Email, Password, and a Description.
  4. Tap Next. iOS will attempt auto-configuration.
  5. If prompted for manual settings:
    • IMAP Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
    • Under Outgoing Mail Server: same hostname, username, and password
    • Tap Next and ensure SSL is enabled for both incoming and outgoing
  6. Tap Save.

Important Notes

  • Always use IMAP (not POP3) so your emails stay in sync across all devices.
  • Ensure your domain has an SSL certificate installed. Without SSL, the connection may be rejected or show security warnings.
  • If your phone has battery saver mode enabled, push notifications may be delayed.
  • The email password is your email account password (set in cPanel), not your cPanel login password.

Troubleshooting

  • "Cannot connect to server" or "Authentication failed": Double-check the mail server hostname — it must be mail.yourdomain.com (replace with your actual domain). Also verify you are using the email account password, not the cPanel password.
  • "SSL certificate error" on Android: Your domain may not have an SSL certificate. Contact support or enable AutoSSL in cPanel. As a temporary workaround, change security type to "none" (not recommended for security).
  • Emails appear on phone but not in webmail (or vice versa): One device may be using POP3 instead of IMAP. Remove the account and re-add it selecting IMAP.
  • Not receiving push notifications: On Android, go to Gmail → account settings → ensure Sync is enabled. On iOS, go to Settings → Mail → Fetch New Data → set to Push.
  • Can send but not receive: Check that IMAP is enabled in cPanel. Also verify the incoming server port is 993 with SSL enabled.
