Plesk sends various email notifications automatically, such as password reset links, subscription alerts, SSL certificate expiry warnings, and system updates. This guide covers configuring who receives these notifications and how to customise them.

Configuring Your Notification Email Address

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Click your username in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Profile & Preferences.
  4. Verify that your email address is correct.
  5. Click OK to save.

Managing Notification Subscriptions

  1. Go to Tools & SettingsNotifications.
  2. Browse the list of available notification events.
  3. For each event, you can:
    • Enable or disable the notification.
    • Choose the delivery method (email, push notification, or both).
  4. Click OK to save changes.

Common Notification Events

  • Subscription suspended due to overuse. Sent when a customer exceeds their resource limits.
  • SSL certificate expiry warning. Sent 30, 14, and 7 days before a certificate expires.
  • Successful backup completed. Confirms that a scheduled backup finished successfully.
  • Failed backup. Alerts you when a backup operation encounters an error.
  • Customer created. Notifies you when a new customer account is created under your reseller account.
  • Plesk update available. Alerts you when a new Plesk version is ready to install.

Important Notes

  • Notification settings depend on what your hosting provider has enabled. Some events may not be configurable by resellers.
  • System-critical notifications (e.g., security alerts) are always sent and cannot be disabled.
  • Ensure your notification email address is correct to avoid missing important alerts.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving email notifications:

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Verify the email address in your profile settings.
  • Contact your hosting provider if notifications are not being sent.

"Notifications" page is not available:

  • Your hosting provider may manage all notifications at the server level. Contact support.
