Why Disable Analog Stats?

Analog is a lightweight, text-based web log analyzer included with cPanel & WHM. While it consumes minimal resources, many administrators prefer to use only AWStats or Webalizer for their richer graphical reports. Disabling Analog reduces clutter in your users' cPanel interfaces and slightly reduces the processing overhead during statistics runs.

Steps to Disable Analog Stats

  1. Log in to WHM as the root user.
  2. Navigate to Home » Server Configuration » Tweak Settings.
  3. In the search box at the top, type Analog to quickly locate the option.
  4. Under the Stats Programs tab, find Enable Analog stats.
  5. Set the toggle to Off to disable Analog for all cPanel accounts.
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

After saving, Analog will no longer generate statistics reports. The Analog Stats link will be removed from the Metrics section in your users' cPanel interfaces.

Important Notes

  • Disabling Analog does not delete any previously generated Analog report data. Users can still access historical reports if they were already generated.
  • You can enable multiple stats programs simultaneously (Analog, AWStats, and Webalizer). If you only want one or two, disable the others.
  • For additional statistics configuration options, go to Home » Server Configuration » Statistics Software Configuration.
  • This is a server-wide setting — it applies to all cPanel accounts on the server.

Troubleshooting

  • Analog still appears in cPanel: Clear your browser cache or try in an incognito window. The change takes effect immediately but cached pages may show stale data.
  • Can't find the option: Use the Tweak Settings search bar and type Analog. The setting is under the Stats Programs tab.

For official documentation, see the cPanel Tweak Settings guide.
