What is Webalizer?

Webalizer is a web log analyzer that produces detailed, graphical reports about website traffic, including visitor statistics, page views, referrers, and browser information. It is one of the three built-in statistics programs available in cPanel & WHM (alongside Analog and AWStats). This guide shows you how to enable Webalizer for all cPanel accounts on your server via WHM.

Steps to Enable Webalizer Stats

  1. Log in to WHM as the root user.
  2. Navigate to Home » Server Configuration » Tweak Settings.
  3. In the search box at the top, type Webalizer to quickly locate the option.
  4. Under the Stats Programs tab, find Enable Webalizer stats.
  5. Set the toggle to On to enable Webalizer for all cPanel accounts on the server.
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

After saving, Webalizer will begin generating statistics reports during the next scheduled log processing run.

Important Notes

  • Webalizer is enabled by default on fresh cPanel installations. If it was previously disabled, re-enabling it will start generating reports on the next stats run.
  • You can enable multiple stats programs simultaneously (Analog, AWStats, and Webalizer). Users will see all enabled programs under the Metrics section in cPanel.
  • Users can view their Webalizer reports from cPanel under Metrics » Webalizer.
  • For additional statistics configuration options, go to Home » Server Configuration » Statistics Software Configuration.
  • This is a server-wide setting — it applies to all cPanel accounts.

Troubleshooting

  • Stats not updating: Ensure the cpanellogd daemon is running. Check under Home » Service Configuration » Service Manager.
  • Webalizer not visible in cPanel: The feature may be disabled in the cPanel package. Check Home » Packages » Edit a Package and ensure Webalizer is allowed.
  • Can't find the option: Use the Tweak Settings search bar and type Webalizer. The setting is under the Stats Programs tab.

For official documentation, see the cPanel Tweak Settings — Stats Programs guide.
