Webalizer is a legacy web statistics application that generates traffic reports from server log files. If your server uses AWStats or Analog instead, you can disable Webalizer to conserve server resources and reduce clutter in your users' cPanel interfaces.
Note: Webalizer has been deprecated and removed in cPanel & WHM version 110 and later. If you are running WHM 110+, this option will not appear, and Webalizer is no longer available on your server.
Step 1: Log in to WHM
Open your browser and navigate to https://your-server-ip:2087. Enter your root credentials to access the WHM dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to Tweak Settings
In the left-hand sidebar, go to Home » Server Configuration » Tweak Settings.
Step 3: Locate the Webalizer Option
Use the search bar at the top of Tweak Settings and type Webalizer. Alternatively, navigate to the Stats Programs tab section and look for Enable Webalizer Stats.
Step 4: Disable Webalizer
Toggle the Enable Webalizer Stats option to Off.
Step 5: Save Changes
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save. The change takes effect immediately — no server restart is required.
Important Notes
- Disabling Webalizer stops the generation of new reports. Existing historical reports remain on disk until manually removed.
- cPanel users will no longer see the Webalizer icon in their dashboard after the next log processing cycle.
- If you plan to rely on AWStats exclusively, verify that AWStats is enabled separately in Tweak Settings.
- This is a server-wide setting that applies to all cPanel accounts on the server.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot find the Webalizer option: If you are on WHM version 110 or later, Webalizer has been fully removed. No action is needed.
- Webalizer reports still appearing: Existing report files may still be on disk. Remove the
tmp/webalizerdirectories within each user's home folder, or wait for backup rotation. - Users asking about missing stats: Ensure AWStats or Analog is enabled so users have an alternative statistics tool available in cPanel.
