Sometimes a customer needs unique settings that differ from their service plan. You can customize a subscription individually. This will lock it from plan sync, meaning future plan changes will not automatically apply.

Customizing a Subscription

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Go to Subscriptions.
  3. Click the subscription name.
  4. Click Customize in the right sidebar.
  5. Modify resources, permissions, or other settings as needed.
  6. Click Update & Lock.

The subscription is now locked. It will not receive updates from the service plan.

Unlocking a Subscription

  1. Click the subscription name in Subscriptions.
  2. Click Sync to apply the current plan settings and remove the lock.

Important Notes

  • Only customize subscriptions when truly necessary. Locked subscriptions are harder to manage at scale.
  • If multiple customers need the same customization, update the service plan instead.

Troubleshooting

"Update & Lock" is not visible:

  • Your reseller permissions may not include subscription customization. Contact your hosting provider.
